Position Type: Hybrid - 2 days per week onsite
Contract Length: 12 months, Contract to Hire
40 hour work during contract, 37.5 hour work week upon conversion
We seek a skilled .NET Developer contactor to supplement our client's internal development team on various ongoing projects or current support initiatives. The ideal candidate will have experience developing and maintaining software solutions using Microsoft’s .NET framework in C# and VB.Net.
Skills
- 3-5 years of .NET experience
- Key skills include C#, Webforms, SQL database
- Visual Studio 2019 or higher
- C# 10 or newer
- Understanding of VB.Net
- Waterfall methodology – Light agile, and DevOps
- ASP.net
- Web based technologies
- Bootstrap 5+
- JavaScript
- XHTML
- Others as needed
- Awareness of ADA Compliance
- Knowledge of security, risks and remediations
- Communication
- Strong Analytical Skills
- Recommend and implement appropriate technical solutions and methods of implementation based on business requirements
- Focus on conversion of RPG code to .NET platform
- Proprietary VB.NET based language called AVR.NET is used to convert RPG to .NET framework
- Lots of custom code needs migrating
- Team is currently assisting with massive Workday implementation
- Troubleshoot technical issues and identify modifications needed in existing software applications to meet changing user, company and technology requirements.
- Document current or new processes
- Potentially work with 3rd party vendors to resolve issues
- Communicate accurate and timely status and issues to management
- Responsibilities may require evening and weekend work occasionally in response to the needs of the client
