We are seeking an experienced .Net Application Technical Lead to provide technical leadership and governance for a business-critical application platform. This role will be responsible for ensuring the platform is delivered, maintained, and evolved according to enterprise standards for quality, security, reliability, and operational excellence.
This role will be based in Cluj, Romania. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
The successful candidate will act as the technical authority for the platform, partnering with Development, QA, and Support. This is a hands-on technical role with no direct people management responsibilities.
The .Net Application Technical Lead will define and enforce development standards, oversee software delivery practices, drive CI/CD automation, improve release processes, and ensure the platform remains secure, scalable, and maintainable.

Technical Leadership
Creates POC which will serve as baseline as reference to final product development
Serve as the technical authority for the application platform
Define and maintain technical standards, development practices, and architectural guardrails
Review technical solutions and provide guidance to development teams
Ensure consistency across applications, services, repositories, and environments
Support technical decision-making and risk assessment
Software Delivery and CI/CD
Design, develop, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub actions
Drive automation of build, test, deployment, and release processes
Identify and eliminate bottlenecks in the software delivery lifecycle
Improve deployment reliability, release quality, and delivery speed
Define and maintain release governance practices
Development Governance
Define and enforce Git branching strategies and repository standards
Establish Pull Request policies and code review requirements
Implement quality gates and automated validation processes
Promote engineering best practices and continuous improvement
Security and Compliance
Integrate security controls into the development lifecycle
Implement automated security checks and vulnerability scanning
Monitor development and delivery practices for security or compliance risks
Raise incidents and drive remediation when technical practices create risks to platform stability, security, or delivery quality
Database Delivery and Automation
Design and maintain automated deployment processes for database changes
Collaborate with the central DBA team to improve database delivery practices
Implement deployment validation and rollback mechanisms
Ensure database changes are fully integrated into CI/CD pipelines
Enterprise Collaboration
Work closely with Technical Product Owner, Development, QA, Support, Security, Infrastructure, Architecture, and DBA teams
Coordinate with centralized corporate services and shared technology teams
Support external vendors and ensure compliance with internal standards
Act as a technical escalation point for platform-related delivery and quality concerns
Operational Excellence
Improve platform reliability, maintainability, and observability
Drive standardization and automation initiatives
Reduce manual operational activities through tooling and process improvements
Support incident analysis and root cause investigations
What you need to have
At least 5 years of experience in similar roles (tech lead, software architecture, DevOps, developer with strong high-level view of final solution or similar)
Technical Expertise in designing reliable software
Experience with Microsoft .NET and ASP.NET applications
Strong experience with Angular and modern front-end development practices
Solid knowledge of IIS administration and application hosting
Experience with microservices architectures and distributed systems
Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL)
Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
Strong understanding of software delivery lifecycle management
Experience with source control, branching strategies, and repository governance
Software Engineer bachelor's degree (or equivalent)
