Introducing the AMEX GBT Neo1 team

The Neo1 team at American Express GBT is a full-stack innovation hub, and is looking to accelerate the growth of our spend management platform while maintaining engagement of our rapidely growing customer base of SME’s. The platform serves the spending needs of SMEs (Small and Medium Enterprises) as a B2B SaaS platform currently focused in the UK and US.  The core spoken language of our operational team is English, spanning members who work both remotely and from our core offices internationally.

To support our continued growth as a product-led SME SaaS company, we are seeking a Full Stack Developer to join our Ecosystem team. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain our Neo1 platform, working collaboratively with product managers, designers, and fellow developers to create scalable and efficient software solutions that drive customer success.

What You’ll Do on a Typical Day

• Work with development teams and product managers to build or enhance Neo1 features
• Design client-side and scalable server-side architecture in a cloud environment
• Identify and resolve performance and capacity issues
• Adopt a security first mindset
• Write effective APIs
• Ensure all functionalities are correctly tested and immune to regressions
• Write technical documentation

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar role (>3 years)
• Solid JVM skills and familiarity with frameworks like Spring
• Knowledge of multiple front-end languages and libraries (Typescript, React, Cypress)
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases
• Cloud development experience and/or certification: Amazon Web Services
• Experience with API and software design
• Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to roll up one’s sleeves to get the job done
• Skilled at working effectively with cross functional teams in a matrix organization
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both French and English
• Exposure working in Agile development
• Experience or knowledge of the banking industry, especially credit card data
