Job DescriptionWe are looking for a motivated junior-level data professional (Engineer, Analyst, or Scientist) to join our nearshore Devoteam team on a project with strong focus on SQL and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This is a remote position, but candidates must be based in Portugal, as you’ll be integrated into one of our Devoteam teams operating from the country.
CANDIDATES OUTSIDE OF PORTUGAL WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.
Responsibilities:
- Handle and transform large data sets with attention to quality and performance.
- Write, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries.
- Build efficient data pipelines in collaboration with technical and business teams.
- Work with Google Cloud Platform services to manage and process data.
Requirements:
- Strong SQL skills (advanced level).
- Familiarity with GCP (BigQuery, Cloud Functions, Cloud Storage, etc.).
- +1 years of experience (including internships) in a data-related role.
- Analytical mindset and problem-solving skills.
- English proficiency (minimum B2 level).
Nice to have:
- Academic or professional experience with Python.
- Experience with BI tools (e.g. Looker, Data Studio, Power BI).
- Understanding of data engineering practices (ETL/ELT, data pipelines).
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
