This role supports the implementation of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) technical consulting and product development services for Oceaneering business units and global clients. These services are to be in line with Oceaneering and client’s documentary requirements and onshore/ offshore legislation(s) where applicable which may include interpreting inspection data, generating reports and ensuring compliance with client specifications and industry standards. The position involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to optimize inspection workflows while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
ResponsibilitiesDuties and Responsibilities:
Executes product/prototype design & development assignments related to NDT Inspection Technologies like UT and Radiography.
Support Asset Integrity operations through developing and reviewing test procedures, calculations and present deliverable in a report format.
Execute cross-functional design and development projects for NDT from start to delivery until the qualification of the product through testing, FEA etc.
Support the Inspection team through and Bids and Proposals development for Asset Integrity Inspection projects in the Asia/India region.
Study NDT market opportunities to identify needs & problems, generate and screen ideas, make business cases.
Benchmark competitor’s products of the relevant segment with reference to technology, features, construction, materials, reliability, quality, cost etc.
Explore and evaluate information available from all sources, including journals, online published content, subscribed newsletters etc. Conduct literature survey, Patent landscape analysis etc.
Review design specifications, test procedures, assembly procedures etc created by other engineers on the NDT projects, participate in concept reviews and concept brainstorming sessions.
Ascertain compliance of established Engineering processes in the product engineering team.
Define functional processes and work towards continuous improvement.
Liaise with external research agencies/vendors or Institutes to develop competency in technology and build products/prototypes those provide strategic advantage to Oceaneering in the marketplace.
Demonstrates high level of initiative to accomplish individual objectives assigned as well as team goals.
Should be open to travel as per business needs.

Master’s Degree in a related Engineering discipline (e.g., Mechanical or allied, Corrosion, Materials, Metallurgy Engineering)

Skills Required
- Master's Degree in a related Engineering discipline (Mechanical, Corrosion, Materials, Metallurgy)
- Bachelor's Degree in a related Engineering discipline (Mechanical, Corrosion, Materials, Metallurgy)
- Experience with Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) inspection technologies, specifically Ultrasonic Testing (UT) and Radiography
- Experience in product/prototype design and development for NDT inspection technologies
- Experience performing Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and qualification testing for product validation
- Ability to develop and review test procedures, calculations, and produce technical inspection reports
- Willingness to travel as per business needs
