Nature and Biodiversity Junior Consultant

ERM France is seeking motivated Junior Consultant to manage Biodiversity high level projects and strategies.
 

What you’ll do

As a Junior Nature & Biodiversity Consultant within ERM’s Corporate Sustainability team, you will work in a fast growing and entrepreneurial team of consultants.

We have a global client base and you will be exposed to an international environment. Your time will be split between supporting client projects on biodiversity (i.e., high level impacts and dependencies diagnosis, biodiversity footprint assessments, recommendations to preserve and restore biodiversity, KPIs establishment, extra-financial reporting), innovation with your Line Manager (i.e., developing commercial proposals and contributing to create opportunities for new projects with clients) and structuring knowledge, assets & services within the field of not net loss, biodiversity-positive actions biodiversity net gain.

On client projects, you will work in a team of professionals to help clients across the financial and corporate sectors solving challenges in the field of, but not limited to, Post-2020 framework, TNFD  alignment, biodiversity risk and benefit assessment, SBTN processes, and scenario analysis to appraise the double materiality of biodiversity/companies, setting strategies to bend the curve of biodiversity loss, value chain inventories, biodiversity footprint assessments, LCA analysis, SBTN target setting, implementation of biodiversity preservation and restoration roadmaps, sustainable finance, performance and impact measurement and sustainability reporting. As a junior consultant, you will bring your own specialized expertise on some of the above-mentioned topics, and you will be supported to ramp up. You will also help the team to acquire and develop new approaches, according to latest science and best market practices, in order to meet the ever-evolving needs of our clients and to be pro-active.

Who you’ll work with

You will be based in our Paris office or in another place in Europe as part of ERM’s Corporate Sustainability Southern Europe Business Unit team. This team acts as one, and you will have the opportunity to work on international projects, collaborating with clients and colleagues within Southern Europe, and beyond.

What we would like you to bring (experience and qualifications)

• 1 to 3 years of work experience in biodiversity issues
• Knowledge on SBTN / TNFD / post-2020 framework
• Experience in technical, strategy consulting
• Excellent analytical, data management, and report writing skills
• Master's or PhD degree in environmental science, natural resources management, environmental or civil engineering or similar.
• Hands-on and outstanding interpersonal and communication skills to interact with internal and external stakeholders while working in an international collaborative team environment
