Natural Gas Originator
About the Role
Gunvor USA LLC is seeking an experienced Originator to drive strategic growth within our Natural Gas business across North America. This position will focus on identifying, structuring, and executing new commercial opportunities across the gas value chain — including pipeline gas, LNG, transportation, storage, and midstream infrastructure.
As part of our Natural Gas Trading Desk, you will help shape Gunvor’s North American gas strategy, lead business origination efforts, and build long-term partnerships that expand our commercial footprint and deliver sustainable profitability.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute Gunvor’s North American Natural Gas business strategy, identifying new markets, counterparties, and assets.
Originate, negotiate, and structure commercial agreements across physical and financial gas markets.
Build and maintain relationships with producers, utilities, industrials, marketers, pipeline operators, and LNG stakeholders.
Collaborate with trading, risk, operations, and finance teams to ensure seamless commercial execution and P&L accountability.
Represent Gunvor at industry events and conferences to enhance market presence and identify new business opportunities.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, finance, or a related energy discipline.
Minimum 10 years of experience in the Natural Gas industry, preferably in trading, origination, or midstream commercial roles.
Louisiana & Mid-Con experience, specifically Oklahoma, Arkansas, East Texas and Louisiana markets with knowledge of GSPL, TGT, EGT, Oklahoma and Louisiana intrastate markets
West & Midwest experience, specifically Canada, West Coast, Rockies, and Mid-West / Chicago markets
Strong understanding of North American gas supply, demand, transportation, and storage dynamics.
Demonstrated success in developing and closing profitable commercial deals.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
Willingness to travel up to 25–30% across North America.
