We’re looking for an experienced National Wellness Manager to support and strengthen wellness and care practices across our villages, helping bring our Attitude of Living Well to life for residents and teams.

Job Description

Mō te tūranga | About the role

The National Wellness Manager plays a key role in supporting communities to deliver consistent, high‑quality, resident‑led wellness and care experiences across both Care and Independent Living.

Working closely with Wellness Leaders, Village Managers, Clinical Managers, and support teams, you’ll help embed the Attitude of Living Well framework, build capability, and ensure wellness practices align with both regulatory requirements and Arvida’s values.

This is a collaborative, hands‑on role suited to someone who enjoys working alongside others to improve practice, share ideas, and make a positive difference for residents.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Supporting communities to embed the Attitude of Living Well in everyday practice
  • Working alongside Wellness Leaders to support consistency, capability, and confidence in their roles
  • Helping design and deliver wellness tools, resources, and induction programmes
  • Supporting dementia wellbeing programmes and restraint minimisation practices
  • Providing guidance around clinical quality, compliance, and incident management
  • Contributing to audit readiness and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Using insights and feedback to help improve resident outcomes and experiences
  • Working collaboratively across care, wellness, and support office teams

Qualifications

You’re an experienced clinician with a strong interest in wellness‑focused, resident‑led models of care. You enjoy working with people, sharing knowledge, and helping teams improve how they support residents.

  • A current NZ clinical practising certificate
  • Experience in aged care, health, or wellness (including leadership or senior practice roles)
  • An understanding of Ngā Paerewa Health and Disability Services Standards
  • A genuine interest in dementia care and wellbeing
  • Confidence supporting teams through coaching, advice, and collaboration
  • Experience contributing to quality improvement or clinical governance activities
  • Strong communication skills and a practical, values‑based approach
