Emser Tile is seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled National Technical Sales Representative to drive growth and adoption of the Emser Essentials product portfolio, with a primary focus on Shower System solutions. This hybrid role blends technical expertise, sales execution, and product development support, serving as a key liaison between field sales, customers, marketing and internal stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess strong installation knowledge, a passion for education, and the ability to translate technical product features into meaningful value for customers and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Drive national sales growth for the Shower System category, with additional support for broader Emser Essentials brands
- Partner with Sales and Marketing teams to identify opportunities and expand market penetration
- Support branch teams and customers with technical selling strategies and product positioning
- Contribute to revenue growth through consultative, solution-based selling
Technical Training & Education
- Lead national and regional training initiatives, both in-person and virtual, for Emser branches, sales teams, and customers
- Serve as the subject matter expert for Shower System technical applications and installation best practices
- Ability to identify, troubleshoot and problem solve installation questions, issues, and potential failures in the field
- Develop and deliver engaging educational content to ensure consistent product knowledge across the organization
Product Development & Technical Support
- Assist the Setting Materials Merchant in the creation and refinement of installation guides, technical specification sheets, and product packaging.
- Work alongside Setting Materials Merchant and Supply Chain teams to align product offerings with market needs
- Provide feedback from the field to support continuous product improvement
Qualifications (Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Experience)
- Proven experience in tile installation, construction, or related technical field
- Certified Tile Installer (CTI)
- Membership with NTCA (National Tile Contractors Association) highly desirable
- Prior experience in technical sales or training within flooring, tile, or building materials industry
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Ability to travel nationally as needed
Travel Requirements
- Frequent national travel required, including job site visits, branch support, and customer training
- Expected travel 50–75%, including overnight stays as needed
