SUMMARY
The primary function of the National Sales Representative is to call on key national builders at the corporate level to gain incremental business that is captured in the regional markets and working with the local Territory Manager associated with a regional account.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
May include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Maintain and grow relationships with key national builders and new construction groups consisting of a collective of small builders who have joined together to increase purchasing power.
- Oversight for end user builders/installers of various Window Products throughout the US.
- Cultivate new business opportunities with additional strategic builders that cross multiple geographies
- Negotiate contracts with key national builders
- Support regional sales efforts to increase sales and profitability
- Set, monitor, and track the effectiveness of the MSA’s across the business
- Liaise with sales and marketing to bring new product development opportunities to the business across all brands and extensions
- Continually analyze market pricing to ensure competitiveness in the product category
- Work with Plant Managers, production and warehouse personnel to ensure quality products and timely shipping to customers
- Participate in national tradeshows focused on residential builder segment
- Maintain pertinent information in CRM database for national residential accounts
- 70% Travel required
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- Minimum 15 years' experience in the building products industry with proven established relationships
- Ability to build and maintain successful client relationships
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Self-motivated
- Strong Leadership Skills
- Demonstrated ability to communicate, present, and influence credibly and effectively at all levels in the organization
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with CRM software
