As National Sales Manager, you will lead our reproductive medicine and maternal health sales team— setting the commercial strategy for the country and driving it through to real results in the field. This is a role with genuine ownership: you'll shape the direction of a talented team, control the national budget, and build the relationships with key opinion leaders and stakeholders that define how our products reach the patients who need them.

  • Develop and lead the sales team in executing sales and marketing strategies within the assigned country/area to achieve sales goals.
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual objectives for the area and each team member, and implement the Plan of Action (POA).
  • Attract, retain and develop Key Account Managers, building a high-performance culture.
  • Manage, train and develop direct reports; run regular business meetings to drive business goals, build promotional messages and strengthen team performance.
  • Prepare annual performance plans for each team member, with goals and measures aligned to business priorities, and coach and train on the job to correct performance.
  • Analyse monthly sales results by product, territory and team member, identify the drivers behind them and define corrective action plans.
  • Manage national finances: develop the yearly operating budget, monitor monthly and maintain financial reporting to support and reconcile spending for the Marketing Team and BUD.
  • Monitor and reinforce use of OCE (sales force automation and customer database).
  • Contribute to the country Brand Plan and marketing strategies.
  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with Key Opinion Leaders and influencing professionals supporting Ferring products.
  • Share business insight from key account interactions with the Integrated Brand Team (Marketing, Medical, National Business Manager, Commercial, Regulatory & Access) and influence strategy accordingly.
  • Build effective internal and external partner relationships to drive shared business priorities.
  • Ensure that you and your direct reports understand and adhere to all applicable codes, policies and regulations, including the Ferring Code of Conduct, with proper supervision and oversight within the team.

Qualifications

  • University degree in Science, Marketing, Pharmacy or a related field; post-secondary education (MSc, MBA) is also an asset. CCPE accreditation is preferred.
  • 5+ years of sales management experience leading pharmaceutical sales teams. Previous Key Account Management experience is required.
  • Experience in cross-functional roles (e.g., Marketing, Training, Market Access, L&D) is preferred.
  • Previous experience in people/team leadership a must, preferably in an agile environment.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 20%.
  • French language skills are considered an asset.
  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, influencing and negotiation skills.
  • Strong collaboration, networking and relationship-building skills.
  • Results-oriented, with strong organization, prioritization and execution skills.
