The Role

Join the dynamic team at Scripps Media in Washington, D.C. as a National Sales Account Executive specializing in multi-market and political advertising. In this role, you'll manage Scripps' growing portfolio of political, digital and national business accounts using streamlined processes that allow for expedited negotiations and efficient delivery for both sellers and buyers.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
  • Manage multi-market buys under established business rules with partner agencies
  • Optimize campaigns in real-time to ensure all meet CPP/CPM goals
  • Oversee automatic makegood processes within client guidelines
  • Submit weekly performance reports to buyers to manage client expectations
  • Execute FCC rules and regulations for political broadcast advertising
  • Work strategically with buyers to grow station share as preferred partners
  • Identify and develop national broadcast revenue through relationships with national/political agencies and advertisers
  • Respond promptly to availability and rate requests while keeping clients informed of Scripps offerings and market trends
  • Build strong, mutually valuable relationships with key national/political agencies and advertisers
  • Track sales KPIs to exceed revenue and profit goals
  • Collaborate with sales product leadership to implement revenue-generating products, data and services
  • Work with programmatic partners' teams to ensure client satisfaction and platform growth
  • Negotiate advertising rates and program ratings to maximize revenue share
  • Create and present compelling marketing proposals using qualitative and quantitative research
  • Provide comprehensive client services including avail presentations, account reconciliation, package preparation, and collections
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
  • BS/BA in related discipline preferred or equivalent years of experience
  • 3+ years of experience in television sales or related field preferred
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
  • Established relationships with national advertisers and their agencies
  • Strong understanding of television and national advertising trends
  • Expert knowledge of television sales and marketing fundamentals
  • Ability to effectively manage all aspects of the sales pipeline
  • Strong negotiation and presentation skills
  • Excellent leadership capabilities
  • Superior interpersonal communication skills
  • Highly organized work style
  • Excellent analytical abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Political sales expertise (desired)
  • Driving required. Valid Driver's License, good driving record, and ability to provide proof of insurance with the company required insurance limits

COMPENSATION RANGE:Annual Salary: $110,000.00 - 130000


 

Pursuant to state and local salary transparency laws, the salary range posted is specific to candidates who will perform this work in District of Columbia.
