DP World is looking for a hands-on Lean subject matter expert to drive the rollout of Lean management practices across our national Contract Logistics network. Reporting to the Senior Manager – Operations Excellence, you will build operational capability, embed sustainable continuous improvement practices, and strengthen performance across a mature 3PL environment without disrupting day-to-day operations or customer commitments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the deployment of Lean management practices across the national Contract Logistics network, ensuring consistent adoption and sustainable outcomes.
- Coach and support operational leaders to embed daily management, standard work, problem-solving, and continuous improvement into everyday operations.
- Act as a key change partner for the national Lean rollout, supporting implementation planning, local adaptation, and leadership engagement across sites.
- Build Lean capability by mentoring site Lean champions, delivering training, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
- Lead early-stage Kaizen and improvement initiatives, helping teams identify, prioritise, and deliver measurable operational and productivity improvements.
- Use Lean tools and methodologies, including Value Stream Mapping (VSM), to identify opportunities, improve workflows, and drive performance outcomes.
- Monitor program performance through reporting, audits, KPI tracking, and risk escalation to ensure alignment with Operational Excellence standards.
- Partner with operational, customer-facing, and cross-functional teams to support broader business improvement initiatives and customer outcomes.
- Promote a strong culture of safety, quality, collaboration, and ethical conduct in line with company values and standards.
Qualifications, Experience and Skills:
- Proven experience leading and embedding Lean or Continuous Improvement programs within complex operational environments.
- Strong background coaching and influencing leaders and frontline teams across operations, engineering, quality, safety, and continuous improvement functions.
- Experience within logistics or supply chain environments, ideally in a Contract Logistics / 3PL setting.
- A practical, hands-on approach to change management with the ability to embed sustainable ways of working and deliver measurable business outcomes.
- Confidence facilitating workshops, leading Kaizen activities, and driving operational problem-solving initiatives.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence, challenge, and collaborate effectively across all levels of the business.
- Analytical and commercially minded, with the ability to identify opportunities, prioritise improvements, and translate initiatives into tangible results.
- Positive, adaptable, and resilient mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and team capability building.

- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or related disciplines are preferred, along with Lean and/or Project Management certifications.
