Purpose of the Role
The role is accountable for strengthening key customer partnerships, and for executing a customer strategy that drives sustainable growth, ensuring we deliver on our financial targets, and continuously working on identifying future opportunities, aligning cross-functional resources, and creating shared value for both the customer and the business.
Top Accountabilities
Define and Deliver Customer Strategy
- Develop and execute a winning Customer strategy, leveraging deep understanding of market dynamics, shopper behaviours, competitive landscape to prioritize investments & speed growth.
Drive Revenue Growth and P&L Performance
- Own Customer P&L, deploying revenue growth management levers (pricing, promotion, mix, premiumisation, innovation) to deliver sustainable top- and bottom-line growth.
Lead Strategic Customer Partnerships and Negotiations
- Build and maintain high-impact relationships with key retail customers; lead complex negotiations, joint business planning, and long-term partnerships to unlock mutual value and category growth.
Go to market strategy
- Develop and drive a customer strategy to upgrade ROI
- Drive the e-commerce strategy in collaboration with the centre of excellence for your customer group (where relevant).
Develop High-Performing Commercial Organization
- Lead, coach, and inspire a high-performing sales and customer marketing organization; strengthen capabilities in category management, shopper marketing, and execution excellence while fostering a performance-driven culture.
About You
- +6-8 years of experience in commercial roles within FMCG blue chip multinationals
- An inspirational FMCG commercial leader who has successfully worked in a matrix and international environments
- Proven track record in driving sales capabilities across key areas such as Category Management, Revenue Growth Management and Customer Strategy
- Commercial experience in the German off trade market is a must
- Multi level negotiation (regional, national, international for NKAM)
- Positive energy, solution oriented, self-confident in own area, strong team player, committed to own development, pro-active, structured way of working, strong analytical skills
- Fluent in English and German.
