The National Director of Branch Facilities & Property Management is responsible for enterprise leadership of all day-to-day property management activities across a 4,100-location branch banking real estate portfolio spanning 38 states. This role provides strategic and operational oversight for branch facilities services, vendor-delivered maintenance programs, regulatory compliance, risk mitigation, service quality, and financial performance to ensure safe, reliable, and customer-ready environments across the retail network. As a director you are expected to achieve success by leading yourself, your team, and the business. Specifically, you will:
  • Operate as an enterprise leader who aligns facilities strategy with retail banking priorities and customer expectations
  • Create a culture of accountability, responsiveness, operational excellence, and continuous improvement across internal teams and service partners
  • Lead with urgency, sound judgment, and disciplined execution in a highly visible, service-critical environment
In this role, you will:
  • Lead all day-to-day property management operations for a 4,100-location branch banking portfolio across 38 states
  • Set enterprise standards for facilities service delivery, operating procedures, escalation management, and field execution
  • Direct a multi-layered organization of internal leaders and outsourced partners to deliver consistent property management performance across diverse markets
  • Partner with retail, real estate, security, risk, and line-of-business leaders to resolve operational issues and protect uninterrupted branch operations
  • Prioritize service strategies that improve branch readiness, colleague experience, customer experience, and operational resilience
  • Provide executive oversight of outsourced property management, integrated facilities management, and specialty service providers supporting the branch network
  • Define service levels, key performance indicators, governance routines, and contractual expectations for national and regional vendors
  • Lead business reviews, scorecard discussions, issue escalation, and remediation planning to improve service reliability and accountability
  • Drive supplier performance across maintenance, janitorial, landscaping, life safety, and other branch support services while managing cost, risk, and quality
  • Own financial performance for property management operations, including operating budgets and executive reporting
  • Drive cost discipline across a large-scale branch portfolio through demand management, sourcing strategies, contract optimization, and productivity improvements
  • Balance service quality and business needs while delivering year-over-year savings and cost avoidance
  • Translate financial and operational data into executive insights that support investment decisions and portfolio strategy
  • Develop and manage business unit occupancy and capital budget
  • Partner with capital planning and project management teams on branch investments
  • Ensure seamless transition from construction/project delivery to property management
  • Support asset lifecycle planning, preventative maintenance strategies, and long-term capital optimization
  • Ensure branch environments meet standards for safety, cleanliness, and functionality
  • Drive initiatives that improve customer and team member experience within branches
  • Address escalations impacting branch operations and customer service
Required Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of Property Management or leadership experience, or equivalent experience demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 4+ years of Management or leadership experience
Desired Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in facilities management, property management or corporate real estate
  • Significant experience leading large, geographically dispersed portfolios within banking, financial services, retail, or similarly regulated multi-site environments
  • Demonstrated success managing outsourced service delivery models, large supplier networks, and enterprise governance routines
  • Strong knowledge of facilities operations, preventive maintenance, life safety, environmental health and safety, regulatory compliance, and operational risk controls
  • Proven executive presence with the ability to influence senior stakeholders, lead through complexity, and translate strategy into measurable operating results
  • Demonstrated strategic leadership with the ability to develop and execute business strategies that align with organizational objectives and drive measurable results.
  • Strong vendor governance and relationship management experience, including establishing performance metrics, ensuring accountability, and optimizing third-party partnerships.
  • Extensive knowledge of risk management practices and regulatory compliance requirements, with the ability to identify, assess, and mitigate operational and business risks.
  • Proven financial acumen, including budget management, cost optimization, forecasting, and delivering operational efficiencies while maintaining service quality.
  • Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making capabilities, with experience leveraging metrics, dashboards, and insights to influence business outcomes and strategic direction.
  • Experience leading organizational change, transformation initiatives, and process improvement efforts, with a demonstrated ability to drive adoption and sustain results across complex environments.
