What is the Role?
We’re looking for an energetic and driven Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our National Sales Team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for building and qualifying a strong pipeline of leads and setting meetings for our National Account Executive to help create a robust funnel of meetings and opportunities. You will work with National clients directly as well with the planning, creative & strategy teams at the National Holding Company agencies.
You’ll be the first point of contact for new prospects — researching target brands, initiating conversations, and uncovering potential fits across Intersection’s out-of-home and digital media platforms. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth of Intersection’s national business while learning the full cycle of media sales in a collaborative, high-performance environment.
What you will accomplish:
Within your first month:
- Learn Intersection’s national product suite, key markets, and media capabilities.
- Get up to speed on our sales process, CRM tools, and messaging framework.
- Begin prospecting outreach to target accounts and assist in presentation preparation.
- Shadow National Account Executives to understand how we position Intersection to major brands and agencies.
Within your first six months:
- Identify and research key brands and agencies in priority verticals to generate qualified leads for the national team.
- Execute high-volume outreach campaigns via email, phone, and LinkedIn to introduce Intersection’s value proposition.
- Qualify opportunities and schedule discovery meetings for National Account Executives.
- Partner with Marketing and Research teams to craft outreach materials and category insights.
- Track and manage your pipeline within Salesforce, ensuring clean hand-offs to the sales team.
- Contribute feedback on messaging, campaign performance, and market trends to improve our go-to-market approach.
You're a great fit for this role because:
- Have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Bring 1–2 years of experience in business development, inside sales, or media/agency roles (preferably in advertising, media, or SaaS).
- Are curious, proactive, and thrive in a fast-paced, goal-oriented sales environment.
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills — you’re confident reaching out to new people every day.
- Are detail-oriented, organized, and skilled at managing multiple priorities.
- Are comfortable using CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) and sales engagement tools.
- Bring positive energy, persistence, and a collaborative spirit — you enjoy being part of a team that wins together.
Total Compensation Range: $75,000 - 80,000
