Ferguson is now hiring for an exciting opportunity as a National Accounts Manager - Industrial. This position is responsible for acquiring and developing our regional and national customer base and specifically focused on growing sales and developing a long-term plan that will meet the customer’s needs and our sales, profitability and productivity goals.

This position will need to be based in the Houston, Texas area.

 

 

Customer Relations:

  • Coordinate and participate in trade shows and other customer activities
  • Build relationships with key customers and vendors which meet branch and corporate objectives
  • Maintain customer retention through monthly financial reviews, project management and execution of the program strategy

 

Business Development:

  • Work with credit, purchasing and branch associates to ensure our sales efforts are organized for maximizing customer satisfaction and profitability
  • Develop and analyze market information
  • Work with team to build customer programs and provide direction to field sales, marketing and operations support functions
  • Provide frequent communication to field sales and Directors on program requirements and advancements
  • Identify new product/business opportunities based on customer need
  • Integrate and prioritize corporate programs and initiatives
  • Identify sales of existing products by customers and maximize the sales
  • Ensure quotes, submittals and RFP's are accurate and timely

 

Operations:

  • Ensure that quotations, orders and requests for credit are being entered promptly, thoroughly and accurately
  • Communicate program advancements to internal teams to ensure workload is handled appropriately
  • Connect with internal teams on product needs and potential product shortages

 

Sales:

  • Work with supervisor in developing and maintaining a strong price matrix for regional account customers
  • Maintain price agreements through National Accounts price contract
  • Identify and market new products and services
  • Provide information to customers about new products, services and promotional offerings
  • Manage relationships with decision makers / influencers for all accounts
  • Routine follow up, using both inside support and field sales
  • Approach customers professionally with scheduled appointments and purpose

Other

  • Ability to travel as needed or up to 50%
  • Represent the company in a professional manner at all times ensuring quality customer service
  • Abide by all policies, rules, and regulations of the company including all applicable safety rules, regulations and procedures
  • Support corporate programs, goals, and initiatives of the company

 

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Sales Management Experience or extensive experience in outside sales
  • Prior experience in contract negotiation and issue resolution
  • Leadership skills
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Supplier and product knowledge
  • Coaching skills – proven track record of achieving through others
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to prioritize workload appropriately in order to balance multiple demands and meet timelines as required
  • Strong financial acumen - Ability to work with and analyze numbers quickly
  • In-depth understanding of the company's operational system
  • Continued focus on improving system efficiencies and business practices.
  • Attention to detail, demonstrated integrity and professionalism
  • Interpret marketing reports, analyzing, business groups, products, and customers

Pay Range:

$6,374.70 - $13,933.70

Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.

This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
