This role requires an experienced, knowledgeable account manager with strong communication and organization skills. We expect this position to drive revenue growth within existing accounts and expand our account base by strategically tailoring our sales efforts and product offerings to meet the needs of new clients.
THIS POSITION CAN BE HYBRID IN NAPERVILLE, ILLINOIS OR REMOTE IN THE FOLLOWING STATES: IL, NJ, NY, AZ, CT, SC, TN, TX, WI, MD, MN, OR, PA, AND WA.
PAY RANGE: $65,000 - $85,000 ANNUALLY
National Accounts Manager Responsibilities:

  • Drive sales growth by building and expanding customer relationships.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (editorial, marketing, production, and technology) to create tailored product solutions.
  • Present and secure orders across a diverse portfolio of frontlist and backlist titles.
  • Conduct business reviews with key accounts, set and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals.
  • Maintain detailed account records, including sales reports, promotions, and key contacts.
  • Analyze sales data to identify new product opportunities and areas for growth.
  • Forecast sales, provide print forecasts, and participate in print decisions meetings.
  • Identify new specialty accounts and pursue relationships to expand our reach.

Required Education/Skills:

  •  Minimum of 5 years prior publishing sales or related publishing experience. Excellent product knowledge and understanding of publishing functions.
  • Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills.
  • A strategic mindset to identify new opportunities and drive success.
  • Strong collaborative skills, especially in working across departments such as Customer Service and Marketing, as well as with colleagues in Sales.
  • Effective creative problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organization skills.
  • The ability to adapt and work well under pressure.
  • Must love books!
  • Ability to travel.
