Summary Description:

This role is responsible for driving profitable growth across the Lowe’s business by developing and executing strategic account plans, building strong customer partnerships, and identifying opportunities to expand Gorilla Glue and O'Keeffe's brands. The National Account Manager will lead key customer initiatives including business planning, product line reviews, promotional programs, forecasting, and customer selling efforts while leveraging data, consumer insights, and financial analysis to influence decision-making and deliver results. Success in this role requires a strategic, results-oriented leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, builds strong cross-functional relationships, and proactively creates growth opportunities for both Gorilla and Lowe's.

 

What will your day look like?

  • Develop and execute strategic account plans for Lowe's that deliver sales growth, market share gains, profitability targets, and brand objectives for Gorilla and O'Keeffe's.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships across Lowe's merchandising, category management, and cross-functional teams, positioning Gorilla as a trusted strategic partner.
  • Lead the preparation and execution of Product Line Reviews (PLRs), Joint Business Planning (JBP), strategic business reviews, and customer presentations.
  • Develop and present data-driven selling stories leveraging POS data, consumer insights, market trends, financial analysis, and competitive intelligence to secure distribution, assortment expansion, promotional placements, and category growth.
  • Own the end-to-end development, submission, execution, and post-analysis of Lowe's Off-Shelf programs, including Shark Tank opportunities and other customer-specific promotions.
  • Utilize Lowe's Vendor Partner Plus (VPP), POS data, and retailer analytics to identify growth opportunities, optimize performance, support forecasting, and influence customer decision-making.
  • Partner closely with Brand, Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, and Sales teams to develop and execute customer-specific growth initiatives while ensuring flawless execution and profitable results.
  • Manage forecasting, promotional planning, trade investments, and performance tracking to achieve financial objectives and support strategic business plans.
  • Serve as the category expert by monitoring competitive activity, pricing, assortment trends, planograms, and retail execution to identify opportunities and drive sales productivity.
  • Represent Gorilla Glue with excellence through customer engagement, business planning, and best-in-class presentation of brands, products, and growth strategies. Periodic travel might be required.
Qualifications

What will you bring to the table?

  • Bachelor’s Degree; 5+ years of experience in Account Management, Category Management, Sales, or Customer Development supporting a major retail customer.
  • Risk Management: Anticipate risks and identify contingency plans and processes to prevent disruptions when risks occur 
  • Relationship Management: Able to establish and maintain key relationships with cross-functional partners both internally and externally 
  • Financial and Business Acumen: Ability to evaluate financial and business indicators and translate data into actionable information to drive results 
  • Problem Solving & Decision Quality: Able to use rigorous logic and methods to solve problems with effective solutions 
  • Planning & Priority Setting: Demonstrate an ability to set objectives and goals and organize work appropriately to meet and exceed goals 
  • Systems and Tools Acumen: Strong knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and PowerBI
  • Communication: Clear, persuasive communicator (written and verbal) including active listening ability, fact-based selling and presentation skills 
  • Negotiating: Skilled at influencing to achieve desired outcomes (both internally and externally)
