Key Purpose
The National Account Manager is responsible for driving volume, revenue, and profitability across Pure Play, Hybrid, and MEU distributor footprints while positioning McCain as an indispensable strategic partner to its customers.
Core Responsibilities
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain long-term partnerships with key national accounts, including contract caterers, to increase share of wallet and deepen operator penetration.
- Trade Investment Management: Compile and manage the annual trading terms budget, negotiate for maximum ROI, and report performance to stakeholders monthly and quarterly.
- Customer P&L & Trade Spend: Own volume (tonnage), NSV, and GP targets per customer, and leverage Revenue Growth Management (RGM) principles.
- Customer Growth Plans: Use data, market intelligence, and joint business planning to identify and commercialise growth opportunities, including new operator acquisition.
- Promotional Execution: Lead key initiative launches, customer campaigns, and structured business reviews with customer head offices and branches.
- Demand Accuracy & Supply Intelligence: Monitor inventory pipelines and depot ROS, and feed market intelligence back to the demand and sales teams.
- Functional Execution: Deploy strategy to regional teams, drive CRM (Salesforce) discipline, and hold Regional Specialists accountable for execution excellence.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Marketing, Category, Finance, Supply Chain, Culinary, and Customer Service to align on customer commitments.
Qualifications & Experience Required
- BCom Degree in Business Management, Marketing, Commerce, or a related hospitality/commercial discipline (preferred).
- 5+ years in FMCG with Key Account Management experience and a proven national account execution track record.
- Working knowledge of P&L mechanics, trade spend management, pricing compliance, and Power BI dashboards.
- Demonstrated success in B2B client acquisition and building multi-level customer relationships.
- High willingness to travel extensively across the assigned region.
