Position Overview

Carlile Transportation is seeking a strategic, results-driven National Account Executive to lead business growth initiatives and strengthen existing customer partnerships throughout our transportation and logistics network.

This role is responsible for both maintaining and growing existing business relationships while also developing new business opportunities across targeted markets and industries. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated sales professional with deep transportation and logistics experience, strong relationship management skills, and a proven ability to drive revenue growth in a competitive environment.

The National Sales Executive will collaborate closely with operations, pricing, customer service, and leadership teams to deliver customized logistics solutions that align with customer needs and organizational goals.

This is a hybrid position, with remote work available on Mondays and Fridays.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to drive revenue growth and expand market presence
  • Maintain and grow relationships with existing customers through proactive engagement
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities across transportation and logistics markets
  • Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline through prospecting, networking, and referrals
  • Conduct customer presentations, business reviews, and solution-based sales meetings
  • Partner with operations and leadership teams to ensure service excellence
  • Prepare pricing proposals, contracts, and customized logistics solutions
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments
  • Meet or exceed sales targets and revenue goals
  • Utilize CRM systems for pipeline management, forecasting, and performance tracking
  • Support contract negotiations and long-term account strategies
  • Represent Carlile at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, Marketing, or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 5+ years of sales experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain
  • Proven success in account management and business development
  • Experience managing national or large regional accounts
  • Strong understanding of transportation operations (freight, trucking, warehousing, multimodal)
  • Demonstrated ability to close complex sales opportunities
  • Experience with CRM systems and pipeline forecasting
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to travel as needed

Compensation & BenefitsCompensation

The salary range is $126,000 to $201,900 annually. Pay will be based on several factors including the candidate’s education, work experience, work location, and specific job duties.
