Job DescriptionJob Ref ID: JR0085309
YOUR MISSION
As the Finance & Ops Lead for Marketplace Experience you will own the financial narrative, cost performance, and governance of the Customer Refunds & Compensations (R&C) team globally. You will be responsible for identifying, quantifying, and reducing compensation-driven value loss, improving structural cost efficiency, and leading high-impact global cost-saving projects. This role focuses on measurable business impact, connecting operational friction to financial outcomes, and driving cross-functional alignment to ensure strict financial control over a budget of high double-digit millions a year.
THE JOURNEY
Own and drive global R&C financial KPIs: Track cost performance against Business Plans (BP) and Best Estimates (BE), identifying structural drivers of value loss and quantifying their financial impact.
Lead financial planning: Drive the creation of the R&C BP, reforecasts, and monthly BE revisions, prioritizing high-ROI interventions and investment reallocating focus toward the biggest cost levers.
Challenge cross-functional teams: Identify inefficiencies, challenge regional teams on cost deviations, and ensure clear action plans with measurable outcomes to materialize opportunities.
Drive performance governance: Lead the R&C Monthly Finance Review, ensuring consistent reporting, performance storytelling, and accountability for Glovo’s senior management.
Execute global cost optimization: Lead cross-functional projects (such as refining partner chargeback policies) and escalate systemic issues to advocate for structural fixes over short-term patches.
Build scalable frameworks: Develop and maintain UX-friendly financial performance tools and dashboards to guide decision-making across all markets.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE RIDE
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting required.
5+ years of experience in Finance, FP&A, Controlling, Strategy, or Operations roles.
Strong ability to connect operational metrics to financial impact and build robust Business Plans and Best Estimates.
Experience influencing cross-functional stakeholders (Finance, Regional Ops, Commercial) without direct authority to drive global cost-saving projects.
Structured problem-solving, strong analytical capabilities, and a data-driven approach.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and performance storytelling skills.
High ownership mindset, hands-on, and a strong bias for measurable impact.
G Suite expertise (Sheets, Presentations) or Office Suite expertise (Excel). The ability to build UX-friendly dashboards is highly valued.
