WSS Money Market to Murex Migration
Key Responsibilities
Requirements & Migration
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements for Murex-related initiatives, including platform enhancements and new product onboarding.
- Support data migration and parallel-run activities between WSS Money Market and Murex, including trade population reconciliation and break analysis.
- Analyze upstream/downstream feed dependencies (e.g., ledger, statement, settlement/cash accounting flows) to ensure accurate mapping during cutover.
- Document current-state vs. future-state requirements using standardized templates to support pre-discovery and business case development.
Production & Delivery
- Support Front Office users by resolving daily production issues related to pricing, valuation, P&L, market data, booking, and simulations.
- Work on front-to-back implementations covering trade capture, risk workflows, settlement processes, and regulatory change programs.
- Perform system monitoring, basic configuration, parameter adjustments, and gap analysis to recommend improvements.
- Use SQL and scripting to extract data, automate tasks, and support reporting and analysis.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate with Front Office, Risk, Finance, IT, and Operations teams to ensure accurate and timely delivery of solutions.
- Liaise with Technology, Treasury, and Operations stakeholders across regional teams to validate functional and data requirements.
- Participate in system testing, validation, and user training for Murex enhancements or new features.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Murex FO or full front-to-back functionalities.
- Experience with legacy treasury/money market platforms (e.g., Wallstreet Suite), particularly in a replacement/migration context, is a strong plus.
- Strong understanding of capital markets products such as FX, Rates, IR derivatives, Credit, and Equities.
- Deep knowledge of trade lifecycle, valuation concepts, P&L components, and reconciliation flows.
- Familiarity with reconciliation frameworks and break investigation across ledger, statement, and SWIFT-based feeds.
- Proficiency in SQL, market data structures, curve configuration, and simulations.
- Comfortable operating in a pre-discovery/requirements-gathering phase with limited initial documentation, working from stakeholder discussions and legacy system knowledge.
- Experience with Agile or Waterfall delivery methodologies and tools like Jira, Confluence, and ServiceNow.
- Strong communication and documentation skills for stakeholder engagement.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Murex integration across risk and finance systems.
- Prior experience on a front-to-back platform migration (legacy vendor system to Murex), rather than steady-state support only.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements impacting capital markets.
- Familiarity with Murex configuration, testing processes, and back-office workflows (e.g., confirmations, settlements, SWIFT formats).
- Exposure to large multi-region banks with segmented technology ownership (e.g., separate FTM, BESS, GTX-SAA, TLM teams).
