About the Role:
Join the BAE Systems Minneapolis Weapon Systems Test Team as a Munitions Testing Support Specialist. In this role, you will provide critical technical expertise across a broad range of programs, supporting products that span from early-stage developmental prototypes to mature, fielded systems. What You'll Do:• Range Operations: Support testing inside and outside of the Continental United States (CONUS), applying Range Safety Officer (RSO) and Range Officer In Charge (OIC) experience to ensure the safe operation of small-to-large caliber weapon system testing.• Solve Complex Problems: Use your analytical skills to identify technical hurdles, engage the appropriate stakeholders, and implement robust solutions.• Technical Execution: Support the installation of instrumentation gauges and data acquisition systems, execute test procedures, and record critical results.• Data-Driven Results: Analyze test data and author the technical reports that guide our programs forward.• Quality Assurance: Support product assurance initiatives and ensure success during internal, external, and customer audit activities.• Customer Engagement: Act as a direct point of contact for customers and key stakeholders to resolve technical challenges.• Technical Contribution: Contribute to various work packages and present technical results to managers and peers.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills • High school diploma and 8 years relevant experience or associate degree 6 years of defense-related experience in engineering, manufacturing, design, test, or field service to identify design/performance problems and lead project teams, or equivalent experience.• Basic familiarity with laws, regulations, and standards applicable to range, weapons systems, and munition safety.• Proven ability to manage and execute assigned tasks independently and lead project teams.• Strong relationship management skills with the ability to communicate clearly with customers to resolve complex technical problems.• Ability to maintain a safe and organized approach within a highly dynamic environment.• Ability to collaborate with technical experts regarding propellant and ammunition handling and testing.• Ability to accept field assignments and associated travel to test locations.• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret DOW security clearance.• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills • Army Master Gunner.• Hands-on integration, assembly, test, and checkout experience in complex systems.• Proficiency in instrumentation and data acquisition (DAQ) systems.• Experience with high-speed video systems for test capture and analysis.• Direct experience in weapons systems development.• Ammunition and explosive material experience and accumulated training.• Knowledge of precision machine tool processing and fabrication.• Expertise in electrical and mechanical assembly, maintenance, and repair.• Experience with vehicle and powered equipment maintenance and repair.
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $82779 - $140723
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
