Neuro diagnostics specializes in the performance of diagnostic neurological procedures across the continuum of life for both our inpatient and outpatient populations. Services include routing and continuous electroencephalograms, intraoperative neural monitoring, evoked potential studies, electromyography, nerve conduction studies, and myelography. Our team is a very experienced team with on-site clinical expertise and collaboration.
Job Description:
Multispecialty Neurodiagnostic Technologist performs quality routine and complex EEGs to obtain data for use in the diagnosis of clinical disorders, processing reports, patient education.
EEGs, long-term monitoring, evoked potentials, nerve conduction studies, EMG assistance, and carotid endarterectomy monitoring.
Preparing patients, equipment, and rooms for procedures.
Educating patients and families about procedures to reduce anxiety and gain cooperation.
Monitoring patient safety and comfort throughout each test.
Documenting accurate data and maintaining reports within hospital systems.
Participating in orientation and training for new team members.
Performing equipment cleaning, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Taking on-call responsibilities and adjusting work schedules based on department needs.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
At least three years of experience in the medical field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Neurodiagnostic Technologist required.
Graduate of an EEG program preferred.
Must maintain current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
