Responsibilities:
- Designs, develops, and maintains a user-friendly website that reflects Tenna's values, focusing on both frontend and backend.
- Writes scalable HTML/CSS for responsive designs, ensuring compatibility across devices and browsers.
- Builds and maintains WordPress features (widgets, plugins, templates) for optimal user experience and site performance.
- Monitors and improves backend stability, optimizing speed, security, and reliability; promptly resolves issues.
- Analyzes reports to enhance website and form usability.
- Collaborates with Marketing to develop engaging, branded content and graphics for website and marketing tools.
- Optimizes the website for SEO and accessibility and periodically redesigns it to align with industry standards.
- Tracks design trends, researching competitor sites to keep Tenna’s website innovative and competitive.
- Creates branded landing pages, blogs, and email templates in HubSpot.
- Travels to customer sites to capture brand and customer stories.
- Designs consistent brand visuals for ads, social media, sales collateral, tradeshows, and packaging.
- Supports the development of social media templates and ad creative, tracking performance to optimize lead conversion.
- Supports social media strategy, content calendar, and new campaigns across paid and organic platforms.
- Coordinates SEO initiatives with technical recommendations and third-party collaboration to grow organic traffic.
- Sources and coordinates freelancers for specific projects as needed.
- Partners cross-functionally with departments like Engineering, Sales, and Customer Success to provide design collateral.
- Provides presentations and graphics on tight deadlines for the Sales and Customer Success teams.
Technical Skills/Experience:
- 7+ years of experience designing and building interactive web pages using WordPress, including custom themes and plugin implementation.
- 7+ years of experience with PHP, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, React, and backend development for performance optimization.
- Experience with frontend design and coding focused on clean, user-centered design is required.
- Experience with Elementor WordPress Website Builder is required.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere Pro, and Audition, is required.
- Proficient in HubSpot for landing pages, blogs, emails, forms, and design tools.
- Strong background in web development for both performance optimization and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in monitoring live sites using performance optimization tools and quality control for bugs, broken functionality, etc.
- Strong understanding of UI/UX principles and their application in web design.
- Experience with responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.
- Strong knowledge of SEO best practices and analytics tools, including Google Search Console for performance analysis, indexing, and site optimization.
- Understanding of audience content preferences to create engaging content aligned with consumption patterns.
- Experience identifying and implementing solutions to boost website traffic and engagement.
- Experience collaborating with Marketing to create videos, graphics, and other visual content.
- Experience working cross-functionally with internal teams such as Engineering, Product, Customer Success, and Sales.
- Nice to have: Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
- Strong attention to detail, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects effectively and meet deadlines.
- A Bachelor’s Degree in a discipline related to Visual Arts or Visual Communications, such as graphic design, animation, digital media, etc., is required, or equivalent work experience.
