Position Title: Multimedia Specialist II
Location: Mc Lean, VA, (occasional support at FHWA HQ, Washington, DC)
Clearance required: Unclassified. Requires USDOT badge and favorable National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI, low risk / non-sensitive); E-Verify required
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Spearhead the conceptualization and execution of complex visual projects across digital, print, web, social media, and video platforms, ensuring alignment with brand strategy and technical specifications.
- Work on high-level design and video projects from wireframing to final production, collaborating with marketing and technical teams to optimize user experience and aesthetic impact.
- Create and integrate visual, audio, and interactive content for digital platforms and presentations.
- Independently manage production workflows from beginning to end, including design concepts, photo shoots, video shoots, animations, and web-based media.
- Collaborate with technical subject matter experts to ensure multimedia products align with technical requirements and follow Section 508 accessibility standards.
- Bachelor's Degree in Multimedia Design, Fine Arts, or a related field.
- 5-10 years of experience in digital media production and design software.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience providing 508-compliant video captioning and remediation.
- Transportation or federal environment experience.
