The Chief Investment Office is a centre of excellence for buy-side thought leadership, investment insights and portfolio strategy for wealth and asset management and provide investment strategies and asset management services to help clients meet their financial objectives while mitigating risks through the Robust Asset Allocation approach.

The Multi-strat and Investment AI Specialist reports to the Chief Investment Strategist, and supports the formulation of Multi-strat investment strategy by supporting the various asset class teams, while contributing critically to the development and deployment of investment intelligence, including AI agents, across the CIO Investment Institute.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to analytical work across asset class and strategy teams including macro, equities, fixed income, alternatives to support the team's investment views.

  • Monitor macroeconomic developments, central bank policy, geopolitical events, and asset class dynamics across developed and emerging markets.

  • Assist senior strategists with model maintenance, data gathering, scenario analysis, and idea generation.

  • Contribute to investment notes, thematic reports, and market commentaries for high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients, ensuring content is accessible, timely, and actionable.

  • Contribute to quarterly and annual investment outlook publications and ad hoc client presentations

  • Work closely with the Chief Investment Strategist and investment intelligence team to help design, build, and deploy agentic AI productivity tools to significantly enhance productivity

  • Contribute to document AI tool architectures, usage guidelines, and best practices to support adoption across the CIO Investment Institute

  • Act as a key liaison between the CIO Investment Institute and technology stakeholders, translating domain knowledge into practical tool requirements.

  • Stay current with developments in applied and agentic AI, financial NLP, and the broader landscape of AI-native research tools

Qualifications

  • 0–3 years of relevant experience in investment research, asset management, or a related financial services function. Strong final-year students or recent graduates with exceptional profiles are encouraged to apply.

  • Ability to perform in a high-impact performance driven environment and deliver results

  • Strong leadership, interpersonal and presentation skills

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a closely related field.

  • Solid understanding of financial markets, macroeconomics, and investment concepts.

  • Demonstrated interest in AI/ML technologies and their application in professional or research settings, evidenced through coursework, personal projects, hackathons, or prior work experience.

  • Proficiency in Python for data analysis and/or scripting; comfort working with APIs and structured/unstructured data

Skills Required
