QUALIFICATIONS:
This person must be at least 18 years of age, have a high school diploma or GED. Must be able to pass a background check, accreditation (no felony convictions or misdemeanor convictions for offenses relating to children) and Drug test. Must possess a valid Driver’s License and be insurable.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Multipurpose Aide will be responsible for maintaining a safe and nurturing learning environment for children placed into his/her care.
- The Multipurpose Aide must promote the Kanza Child Care Center (KCCC) in a positive way to parents and the community.
- Provide classroom management while main teachers are away.
- Doing laundry as needed/keep laundry room clean.
- Cover while teachers are absent, on lunch, and /or on break.
- Maintain client confidentiality.
- Attend local, state, regional and national childcare meetings/training when deemed appropriate.
- Responsible for helping to keep both buildings (School Age & Daycare) clean. Including but not limited to bathrooms, entryways, common areas, kitchen, and laundry rooms.
- Help in all classrooms when and where needed.
- Drive a van when needed, picking up students after school, and/or during field trips.
- Keep inventory of supplies in laundry rooms and give orders to Supervisor when running low.
- Being flexible in duties.
- Complete any other duties as assigned by the immediate or controlling supervisor.
Skills Required
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to pass a background check
- No felony or relevant misdemeanor convictions
- Possess a valid Driver's License and be insurable
