About the team and the role:

eBay, Inc. seeks MTS 1, Software Engineer in San Jose, CA

What you will accomplish:

Job Duties: Develop tools and technical solutions to enable sellers to bulk sell their goods and items. Develop and maintain the core business logic of this product by implementing required APls, integrating with external services, invoking persistent layer, task orchestration and collaborating with other teams for data and knowledge sharing. Design internal architecture, development, and testing and maintenance to ensure quality of the product. Solve complex programming tasks by providing best technical solutions along with contributing to architecture discussions. Drive architecture discussions, produce well-documented design docs, and participate in design and code reviews. Ensure code quality and maintainability by evolving architecture and tech stack, refactoring, standards and improving build and test systems. Estimate engineering effort, plan execution cycles, and rollout system changes. Propose and implement working prototypes for testing new ideas. Partial telecommuting permitted from within a commutable distance.

What you will bring:

Minimum Requirements:  Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a closely related field plus two years of experience in the job offered, as a Software Engineer, or a related occupation. Employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a closely related field plus five years of experience in the job offered, as a Software Engineer, or a related occupation.

Salary: $158,735.00-222,100.00 per annum. 40 hours per week; M-F, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
