About the team and the role:

As a MTS, iOS Software Engineer at eBay in Bengaluru, you will join a dedicated team passionate about developing and supporting native experiences in our Shipping and Payments domains. This role is key to maintaining the eBay platform, which serves hundreds of millions of users on Desktop and Mobile.

As a senior engineer, you will engage in the full product development lifecycle—from conceptual build to product launch—collaborating closely with Product Managers, Designers, and Architectural teams. This is your chance to work on world-class projects and make a significant impact!

What you'll do and learn:
  • Translate requirements into software build, crafting clean, efficient, and maintainable crash-free code that aligns with native platform guidelines.
  • Take full ownership of subsystems within a large domain, ensuring flawless execution through the build, development, testing, deployment, and monitoring phases.
  • Influence and guide technical decisions, ensuring the best outcomes.
  • Identify areas likely to change and incorporate flexibility to improve engineering velocity.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners to develop innovative solutions that meet development goals and principles.
  • Manage project features, break them into sub-tasks, and resolve issues for efficient execution.
  • Provide technical guidance, code reviews, and mentorship to team members.
  • Address gaps and issues across systems, propose solutions, and drive resolution.
What you will bring:
  • 6+ years of professional experience in native mobile development.
  • Proficiency with advanced Swift features, dependency management tools, and CI/CD tools.
  • Basic understanding of system building for large-scale consumer mobile applications.
  • Advanced networking skills and familiarity with iOS build paradigms.
  • Strong sense of ownership, teamwork, and excellent communication skills.
  • A Bachelor's degree in EE, CS, or a related field.
