Key Responsibilities
- Manage new MSP client onboarding projects from kickoff through final handoff to ongoing support.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the onboarding process.
- Build and maintain project schedules, milestones, resource plans, and onboarding timelines.
- Coordinate Project Engineers and Technicians responsible for technical discovery, documentation, deployment, remediation, and testing.
- Ensure client environments, processes, vendors, applications, infrastructure, and technical requirements are fully documented.
- Track project labor, budgets, financial variances, estimated completion dates, and cost-to-completion.
- Identify risks, missing information, client dependencies, access requirements, and potential delays early in the onboarding process.
- Coordinate deployment and validation of managed IT services, including endpoint management, security, backup, monitoring, MFA, email security, and related MSP tools.
- Lead client kickoff, status, and closeout meetings.
- Maintain clear communication with clients and internal stakeholders regarding progress, risks, outstanding items, and next steps.
- Ensure onboarding requirements are complete before transitioning the client to Service Delivery and the Network Operations team.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
- 3+ years of project management, implementation, onboarding, or project coordination experience in IT.
- Experience managing project schedules, resources, budgets, forecasts, and multiple concurrent projects.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong client-facing communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to coordinate technical resources without needing to personally perform the engineering work.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365, networking, servers, endpoints, cybersecurity, backup, and managed IT services.
- Previous experience working for a Managed Service Provider (MSP) is strongly preferred.
- Experience with MSP client onboarding, ConnectWise PSA, Microsoft 365, documentation platforms, RMM tools, endpoint security, backup, network monitoring, and related managed-services technologies is a plus.
- PMP, CAPM, Project+, ITIL, Six Sigma, or similar certifications are beneficial but not required.
- This position includes office-based work and travel to client locations throughout the region. Some projects may require occasional evening, weekend, or out-of-town work based on client and onboarding requirements.
