As a Medical Science Liaison, you will build trusted scientific partnerships with Medical Experts, providing unbiased medical and scientific information while collecting valuable insights that help shape medical strategy. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional colleagues to advance patient care, support clinical research, and ensure the highest standards of scientific engagement and compliance.
- Develop and execute Medical Expert engagement plans aligned with country and therapeutic area strategy.
- Identify, map, and prioritize Medical Experts and key accounts, ensuring appropriate scientific engagement based on medical needs and evidence gaps.
- Conduct high-quality, compliant, peer-to-peer scientific exchange with Healthcare Professionals and Medical Experts.
- Respond to unsolicited medical and scientific requests for information in a timely and balanced manner.
- Share and discuss emerging clinical data, scientific publications, and disease area insights.
- Support Novartis-sponsored clinical research activities by facilitating site identification, study feasibility, and investigator engagement in collaboration with Clinical Operations.
- Facilitate the Investigator Initiated Trial (IIT) process upon investigator request.
- Contribute to medical education initiatives, scientific meetings, symposia, and educational events aligned with medical strategy.
- Gather, synthesize, and communicate actionable external insights to inform medical and cross-functional decision making.
- Serve as a scientific resource for internal stakeholders, providing clinical context and medical expertise.
- Report technical complaints, adverse events, and special case scenarios related to Novartis products within required timelines.
- Ensure all activities are conducted in accordance with Novartis policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Support distribution of marketing samples where applicable.
- Advanced scientific degree (MD, PharmD, PhD, MSc in Life Sciences, or equivalent).
- Experience in Medical Affairs, clinical research, healthcare, or other scientific roles; field medical experience is preferred.
- Strong capability to engage in scientific, evidence-based dialogue with Healthcare Professionals and Medical Experts.
- Ability to interpret and communicate complex clinical and scientific data.
- Understanding of clinical research, evidence generation, and pharmaceutical industry regulations.
- Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills within a matrix environment.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- High level of integrity, ethical judgement, and commitment to patient outcomes.

Expected Annual Base Salary Range for role: 64,500.00 - 92,100.00 - 119,700.00 EUR Annual
The base salary offered is determined based on gender-neutral objectives, such as relevant skills, competencies and experience in accordance with the Novartis pay setting policy and upon joining Novartis will be reviewed periodically.
In addition to your base salary, you may be eligible for a performance-based bonus depending on certain performance parameters.
