JOB TYPE: Full-Time  


LOCATION: Multiple office locations in MD 


RESPONSIBILITIES: 


  1. Perform diagnostic musculoskeletal (MSK) sonography examinations as ordered by physicians, utilizing appropriate protocols and equipment. 

  1. Prepare examination rooms and ultrasound equipment, ensuring adherence to infection control and patient safety protocols. 

  1. Assess patient clinical history and support information to determine the appropriateness and medical necessity of the sonography examination. 

  1. Safely position patients and adjust equipment settings for optimal image acquisition, patient comfort, and to prevent musculoskeletal injuries. 

  1. Independently perform sonography procedures, ensuring accurate capture of anatomical, pathological, and clinical conditions. 

  1. Review and document examination images, prepare preliminary findings, and communicate relevant information to the interpreting physician. 

  1. Maintain patient privacy, confidentiality, and compliance with privacy laws (e.g., HIPAA) and facility policies. 

  1. Collaborate with the healthcare team, establishing and maintaining positive working relationships. 

  1. Participate in quality assessment and improvement activities, ensuring adherence to facility standards. 

  1. Other duties as assigned to meet the needs of the company. 




REQUIREMENTS: 


  1. High School Diploma. 

  1. Current certification as a Medical Sonographer (ARDMS).  

  1. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Sonographer. Outpatient experience preferred. 

  1. Demonstrated competence in performing MSK sonography examinations. 

  1. Proficiency with computer skills and software for documentation and report generation. 

  1. Strong commitment to professional growth and lifelong learning. 

  1. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 

  1. Knowledge of and compliance with relevant certification, licensure, and safety requirements.
