The Vice President, MSET & COO Support, is responsible for leading business management, operational risk, regulatory response, commission management support, client onboarding coordination, and process governance across the MSET COO organization. The role partners with senior stakeholders, coverage teams, technology, risk managers, and regional teams to strengthen controls, execute business priorities, and deliver scalable operating solutions.

The position also includes leading a team supporting Request for Information (RFI), Commission Management Group (CMG), Client Onboarding for Cash and Listed Derivatives, management reporting, automation, and data maintenance activities.

MSET is the offshoring arm of Morgan Stanley’s Sales & Trading businesses in India. It covers functions across IED and Fixed Income Division (FID) ranging from those associated with sales, trading, analytics, strats to risk management.

What you’ll do in the role:

  • Support the MSET COO function through business management, governance, executive reporting, stakeholder engagement, and cross-regional coordination.

  • Lead and manage end-to-end Request for Information (RFI) processes, ensuring timely, accurate, and audit-ready responses while driving process improvements and automation.

  • Oversee Commission Management Group (CMG) activities, including commission-related requests, data validation, reporting, issue resolution, and control governance.

  • Coordinate Client Onboarding for Cash and Listed Derivatives, ensuring efficient onboarding, documentation management, account setup, and stakeholder alignment.

  • Lead operational and strategic projects, deliver reporting, analytics, process enhancements, and automation initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce operational risk.

  • Manage, develop, and mentor a high-performing team while building strong partnerships across COO teams.

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • Bachelor’s degree from any stream with 8 - 12 years of relevant experience. A master’s degree specialized in Finance will be advantageous

  • Exposure to / knowledge of different equity and equity derivatives asset classes is desirable

  • Relevant experience in financial services operations, COO support, business management, risk management, or client onboarding.

  • Experience leading teams, managing BAU deliverables, and supporting transformation or automation projects.

  • Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills, with experience in Python, Power BI and SAP BusinessObjects reporting preferred. 

  • Strong project management, problem-solving, decision-making, and issue-escalation skills. 

  • Strong communication skills, attention to detail, control mindset, and ability to operate in a fast-paced global environment.
