MSA Scanning

JOB SUMMARY:  Provide Medical Record Scanning services for the Claremore Indian Hospital.  

PRIMARY DUTIES:

• On-site digitization, scanning, and importing into EHR.
  • Access medical records through network folder
  • Efficiently and accurately upload medical records to electronic health records
  • Abides by clinic policy for naming and classifying of records into VistA Imaging.
  • When appropriate, tags clinical staff for notification of scanned record
• Follows Quality Assurance Procedure
  • Follows established procedure for quality assurance review
  • Only after all documents have been scanned and 100% QA will documents be disposed
  • The following criteria met allow for destruction:
    • Correct patient;
    • Correct title/administrative;
    • Indexed per procedure;
    • Image legible; and
    • Image oriented; and
    • Electronic version is accessible

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: 

• Background check required.
