The MS Specialist Core provides expert-level support for Nokia's core network solutions, focusing on incident management, problem resolution, and proactive maintenance to ensure service continuity and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities- Respond to and resolve critical incidents affecting core network elements, including troubleshooting, diagnosis, and escalation.
- Analyze recurring issues, identify root causes, and implement permanent solutions to prevent future occurrences.
- Plan, execute, and verify changes in the core network infrastructure, adhering to established processes and minimizing service impact.
- Monitor network performance, analyze trends, and implement optimizations to enhance efficiency and reliability.
- Ensure that you maintain accurate network configurations and documentation.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding service status, incident resolution, and planned activities.
- Participate in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 support for critical network operations.
Must have:
- In-depth understanding and practical experience with at least one core network domain (e.g., IMS, VoLTE, Packet Core, 5G Core).
- Signaling Protocols: Proficiency with relevant signaling protocols (e.g., SIP, Diameter, SS7/SIGTRAN, GTP).
- Strong command-line skills for troubleshooting, log analysis, and system administration.
- Solid grasp of TCP/IP, routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP), and network troubleshooting tools.
- Troubleshooting & Diagnosis: Proven ability to identify, analyze, and resolve complex technical issues efficiently.
Nice-to-have:
- Certifications related to Nokia core network products or other relevant telecom vendors.
- Understanding of project phases and methodologies for participating in network upgrades or deployments.
