Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Program Assistant to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about working with elementary - middle school students and contributing to a dynamic and engaging educational environment. The Program Assistant will play a key role in supervising students, facilitating enrichment programs, and designing engaging activities to enhance the experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise middle school students in a classroom setting, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
- Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and students.
- Plan and facilitate enrichment programs that align with our mission and goals.
- Collaborate with colleagues to design and implement special activities and events.
- Support day-to-day operations and administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- Experience working with elementary - middle school-aged students in an educational or recreational setting.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Creativity and enthusiasm for designing and leading engaging activities.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in teaching, youth programming, or a similar field.
- Familiarity with classroom management techniques.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain certification).
Salary & Benefits
Compensation: Hourly Rate $18.00-$22.00. Hourly rate commensurate with experience and qualifications.
