The Max Bell School Member shall undertake non-teaching responsibilities in support of the academic mission of the program, to enhance students’ comprehension of course content and to strengthen their application of public policy pedagogy.

Specific responsibilities delivered in person for the Fall 2026 Orientation Week term include:

  • Develop and deliver a one-week bootcamp covering the following topics: Basic mathematical and statistical notation; basic concepts in statistics and probability; key concepts in measurement for policy purposes; measurement including construct validity; direct vs. proxy measures; sampling and survey design; common measures in policy: central tendency (mean/median/etc); variance & SD; indices and composite/summary measures; distribution and inequality measures.    
  • Provide individualized or small-group instructional support. 

Duration and Time Commitment
The duration of non-teaching assignments are for 15 hours during the Orientation Week from August 17 to 21, 2026.

Compensation:  $76.54 per hour

Totat Salary: $1,148.10
