Wage Range: 24.00 (JR) - 39.00 (Licensed)
- Assemble and test moulds to Tycos and customer specifications
- Fitting and spotting of components and core to cavity with high precision
- Wire and assembly hot runner systems
- TIG welding of major components is an asset
- Ability to plan and organize efficient work flow for assigned tasks
- Must document all discussions with customers (at try-outs and offsite services) including instructions, etc.; Collect or pass on information to the customer with or without Management; on or off-site
- Utilize the non-conformance process to provide accurate, detailed documentation of all issues, non-conformances or constraints that cause rework or tool delay and understand why this has occurred
- Able and willing to travel within Ontario and internationally as required for supporting the customer, training, benchmarking or investigational purposes
- Effectively interact with Engineering, Scheduling, Machining and Management
- Maintain confidentiality and integrity
- Assist in the implementation of plans to control and maintain safety, quality, 5S, cost and efficiency for assigned areas
- Cross-train in other departments/sub-departments to enhance skillsets, provide scheduling flexibility and support Tycos’ overall sustainability
Education:
- Minimum completion of Grade 12 diploma
- College diploma in a Trade or Technical Field, or equivalent experience, an asset
- Tool & Die or Mould Maker Certificate 431/430 is an asset
Experience:
- Minimum 4 years of experience in a Mould Maker position
- Experience in the automotive industry an asset
Skills:
- Thorough knowledge of mold making practices, standards and expectations
- Well-developed organizational and time management skills
- Strong mathematical and mechanical aptitude
- Good knowledge of NX software and GSS
- Good Working knowledge of Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, TEAMS, Outlook
- Thorough knowledge of Mould Build standards and expectations
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, mentor and build effective teams
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong listening, verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to build a small tool (3’x3’)
