The Role
CAA is seeking an Assistant based in Los Angeles for a unique position at the company in the Strategic Client Advisory department.
The Strategic Client Advisory department provides strategic support to both clients and CAA, focusing on topics in Film & TV. We specialize in Film & TV dealmaking, where we architect innovative deal structures for competitive packages, single project deals, overall deals, and other talent-driven partnerships. We also advise talent-driven production companies, brands, independent studios, and other client companies on scaling their businesses and provide industry insights through our coverage of the Film & TV buyer landscape. We work closely with a wide cross-section of CAA departments and external contacts (including clients, lawyers, managers, and studio executives).
The Assistant will support two (2) executives on administrative tasks and additional project work and management (see below).
The candidate must have a passion for Film and Television and an eagerness to deepen their understanding of the underlying business. The role requires a self-starter with excellent skills in organization, written and interpersonal communication, presentation, collaboration, and stakeholder management.
Responsibilities
Answer calls, lead scheduling & manage expenses for two (2) executives
Maintain internal infrastructure for ongoing initiatives (e.g., Teams, OneDrive, databases & trackers)
Support in research efforts and building materials (e.g., memos, decks, etc.)
Research, build & share weekly newsletter recapping relevant client & industry news for talent-driven production companies
Support in building materials for client production companies (e.g., pitch decks, films slates, etc.)
Build & update materials to support industry coverage of the major studios & streamers (e.g., decks, Film & TV slates, org charts, news tracking, etc.)
Maintain calendar of buyer and industry events (e.g., investor calls, film festivals, awards, etc.)
Support in the planning & execution of department-led events
Miscellaneous project support, as needed
