SUMMARY:
Under limited supervision, the Motion Ai Application Engineer is the primary technical resource supporting outside sales and production teams. The position encompasses proof-of-concept development, pre-sales support, production coordination, and ongoing technical support to customers and sales representatives. Motion Ai Engineers leverage deep technical expertise to design, test, and deliver comprehensive automation solutions that enhance customer satisfaction and drive business growth.

Must be eligible to work in the US without visa sponsorship.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Demonstrate and maintain expertise in automation technology including motion control systems, robots, vision systems, and related products by leveraging ongoing training and up-to-date knowledge from factory partners and internal resources.

  • Develop and validate proof-of-concept demonstrations to support pre-sales efforts and sales proposals.

  • Collaborate closely with customers to guide them through the automation technology selection process, ensuring recommended solutions are tailored to their specific application needs.

  • Recommend potential solutions for integrated robotic and automation systems, including collaborative robots and associated technologies.

  • Support customers by providing real-time pre and post sales technical expertise and training to customers.

  • Work with Outside Sales on applications, providing technical expertise to help win business, travel as needed.

  • Leverage ongoing training to stay current on our key product lines, in addition to maintaining up-to-date knowledge from factory partners and internal resources.

  • Travel as needed to support customer engagements as needed to support sales efforts across New England

  • Perform other duties as assigned.


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering related field typically required.

  • One (1) year of related engineering experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.

  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with technical and non-technical audiences.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Strong technical understanding of mechanics, electronics, robotics, and control systems relevant to product offerings.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and opportunities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to adapt and respond effectively to changing priorities and customer needs.

  • Proficient in CAD software and Microsoft Office suite.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Travels up to 40% of the time.
