Iron Mountain is seeking a motivated Mortgage Specialist to join our Operations and Document Custody team.
In this role, you will be responsible for the accurate document preparation, scanning, indexing, quality control, content review, and certification of mortgage records while strictly adhering to department metrics, compliance standards, and safety and security procedures.
You will join a fast-paced, goal-oriented production team dedicated to maintaining high-quality operational standards, achieving individual performance metrics, and delivering exceptional service to our clients.
What You’ll DoIn this role, you will:
Document Processing & Custody: Perform essential mortgage document functions including preparation, scanning, indexing, content review, and secure validation of financial records.
Operational Performance: Meet and exceed daily individual production metrics, processing goals, and customer service level standards in a high-volume warehouse environment.
Data Verification & Accuracy: Utilize strong personal computer (PC) and keyboarding skills to match names, numbers, and other critical data to documents with high attention to detail.
Regulatory Compliance: Maintain strict compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and federal, state, and local laws, utilizing familiarity with Federal National Mortgage Association (Fannie Mae), Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation (Freddie Mac), and Government National Mortgage Association (Ginnie Mae) guidelines.
The ideal candidate will have:
3 to 6 months of experience in the mortgage service or document custody industry within a multi-business and multi-site operation.
Strong knowledge of mortgage documents, processing specifications, and industry regulatory guidelines.
Production Excellence: Proven experience performing repetitive tasks quickly and accurately with your hands while multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
Reliability & Schedule Flexibility: Demonstrated history of excellent attendance, strong organizational skills, time management, and the absolute ability to work required overtime and occasional Saturdays with short notice.
Physical Stamina: Ability to sit for 80% of the day (inbound tasks) or stand/walk for 80% of the day (outbound tasks), with the capability to reach above the head and lift, move, push, or pull files and boxes weighing 10–29 lbs frequently, 30–40 lbs occasionally, and over 40 lbs rarely.
Pay Rate: $17.00/hr - $20.00/hr (Depending on Mortgage Industry Experience)
Benefits: This is a temporary-to-permanent opportunity. Benefits are not provided during the temporary phase; comprehensive benefits eligibility begins upon successful conversion to a permanent employee.
Shift: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday. Must be available for overtime, to include Saturdays, when the work volume demands it.
