We are searching for a Mortgage Processor who can deliver awesome to our members! Are YOU our newest team member?

What we do! The Mortgage Lending Team is a highly collaborative group that works hard to provide our members and staff with top-notch service.  If you enjoy working in a fast paced environment, have great attention to detail, and want to be part of our dynamic team – we want you! Some of our daily responsibilities include:

  • Process mortgage and equity loan files from application through closing, including file maintenance, preparation of required disclosures, ordering third-party services, and coordinating closing documentation.
  • Ensure a positive member experience by maintaining accurate, well-documented loan files and supporting a smooth and timely loan process.
  • Collecting, reviewing and verifying loan documentation for completeness and accuracy to maintain file progression.
  • Respond to member inquiries related to new loan applications and loans currently in process.
  • Provide support to branch staff by responding to mortgage and equity lending questions and assisting with training and guidance as needed.
  • Support regulatory and reporting requirements associated with mortgage and equity lending to ensure accurate documentation and compliance with applicable guidelines.
  • Complete final file maintenance, including closing out withdrawn or denied applications and preparing mortgage fee documentation for accounting.
  • Identify opportunities to refer members to appropriate GSCU products and services.
  • Work collaboratively with the mortgage team to help achieve departmental goals.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Proven ability to meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
  • Strong communication and member service skills with the ability to work effectively with members, internal staff, and third-party partners.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively while identifying opportunities for process improvement.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products, including Word and Excel.
  • Working knowledge of mortgage lending practices, TRID disclosure requirements and secondary market guidelines (including Fannie Mae), preferred not required.
  • Prior mortgage processing or related lending experience preferred not required.

This is a hybrid position that allows flexibility to work at home but does require some in office processing.  Schedule to be coordinated in advance.
