Job Summary
As a Vice President - Processing within Private Bank Mortgage Operations, you provide strategic leadership and oversight to teams of Mortgage Processing Specialists. You ensure efficient, accurate, and compliant processing of mortgage applications, guiding teams to maintain high standards and meet deadlines. You drive operational excellence, facilitate stakeholder coordination, and uphold regulatory requirements across all stages of the mortgage lifecycle.
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee management and performance of Mortgage Processing teams
- Ensure acquisition and accuracy of third-party and vendor information
- Provide strategic direction and resolve issues with cross-functional mortgage teams
- Foster clear communication and collaboration with stakeholders
- Achieve "clear to close" status and address quality control findings
- Oversee compliance with federal and state regulatory requirements
- Monitor and manage regulatory compliance laws and guidelines
- Drive quality improvements and review operational results
- Manage quality reports, SLA deadlines, and expiring rates
- Remediate escalations and manage issues promptly
- Deliver monthly scorecard results and funding forecasts
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Hold a Bachelor's degree
- Demonstrate minimum 5 years of U.S. mortgage loan origination experience
- Exhibit 5 years of people management and client service delivery experience
- Apply expertise in mortgage concepts and major US mortgage regulations
- Communicate effectively in written and verbal formats
- Analyze documents such as Title, Insurance, and Appraisal
- Work independently and lead teams in high-production environments
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Possess a Post Graduate degree
- Demonstrate experience in loan processing and production management
- Organize, prioritize, and manage work allocation and exception handling
- Suggest process enhancements and automation opportunities
- Deliver new procedures and ensure team adherence to policies
- Oversee projects and feedback sessions for workflow improvements
- Motivate, recognize, and retain employees to achieve business targets
