JOB SUMMARY

This position enters data, reviews, and verifies documents for mortgage loan files. In this function, you will work directly with members, mortgage originators, mortgage processors and mortgage underwriters.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

May include any and/or all of the following:

  1. Greet and Communicate with walk-in mortgage members.
  2. Receive loan applications, greet members, answer telephone & IM’s, make appointments, and answer member inquiries regarding mortgage loans.
  3. Support the team in following up on leads and ensuring necessary communication is completed timely and efficiently.
  4. Support the team in data entry, calculations, document collection and verification.
  5. Prepare TRID disclosures
  6. Order Necessary documents to ensure timely processing of a loan file. To include, but not limited to appraisals, title work, surveys and any other necessary documents or orders needed.
  7. Run vendor compliance against loan configuration
  8. Review and submit all active appraisals and appraisal invoices
  9. Assist with Monitoring all active escrow files including issuing payment, ordering inspections and all duties surrounding these loans.
  10. Assist with tracking all open construction files and their progress, while completing necessary draws, draw inspections, survey orders and final appraisal.
  11. Stay abreast of required regulations, compliance and investor guidelines
  12. Detailed knowledge of Regulation B, Z and X (TRID).
  13. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

      • Credit Union operations, procedures, and systems
      • Technology and various software programs including Mortgage Loan Systems, Symitar, Microsoft Word, Excel, Visa

      • Read and interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, and schedule form
      • Organize and prioritize in order to meet deadlines

QUALIFICATIONS

Critical Development Experiences:

Pursue opportunities for professional growth and development through training, education and self-study

Successfully complete all applicable compliance training and testing

Participate in webinars provided by Freddie Mac, ARCH, and MGIC

Education and experience equivalent to:

Experience with various types of mortgage loans, escrow and ARM requirements desirable

A high school degree or equivalent

REQUIREMENTS

Regular attendance and timeliness are essential functions of this position. While performing this job, the employee is regularly required to sit or stand for a significant period of time and perform functions that require manual dexterity. The employee must occasionally reach above or below normal body position, stoop or bend, and carry, lift or move objects weighing up to 25 pounds. A normal range of hearing, vision, and speech are required to effectively work with co-employees and members.

Follows regulatory and policy compliance requirements, which include those efforts in compliance with Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Regulations, Identity Theft Red Flags and other compliance related Policies. This position also requires maintaining confidentiality with regard to non-public information about our members and the Credit Union.
