Job Description SummaryWe are looking for a Lead Project Manager to lead the execution of M&D Platform projects for GE Vernova’s Gas Power Heavy Duty Services Engineering, Fleet Operational Intelligence organization. The Lead Project Manager will have primary accountability for successful delivery, installation, and commissioning of monitoring and diagnostic products such as OnSite Monitor (OSM), Generator Health Monitoring (GHM) and other M&D products with objectives on safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
You will be responsible for driving project execution from planning through delivery, while consolidating progress, risks, and priorities into a clear overall project view. The role requires strong reporting and communication with leadership, as well as close collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure project objectives are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in line with quality and contractual requirements.

Role Summary/Purpose

The Lead Project Manager is responsible for leading the execution of medium to complex M&D Platform projects. This role consolidates and supports activities across engineering, procurement, commissioning, and customer interface workstreams to ensure alignment on scope, schedule, cost, quality, and contract commitments.

In addition to managing the full range of project management activities, the Lead Project Manager serves as a critical link between project execution teams and leadership, providing structured governance, reliable reporting, risk visibility, and timely escalation of issues affecting delivery. The role requires strong cross-functional coordination, project execution, and the ability to translate detailed project performance into clear insights and decision support for internal leadership and external stakeholders.


Essential Responsibilities

  • Lead Project Kick-offs: Facilitate internal and customer kick-off meetings to define scope, establish roles and responsibilities, and clarify order requirements.
  • Execute Projects: Manage the end-to-end delivery of medium to complex Monitoring & Diagnostics projects, ensuring adherence to contractual scope, schedule, budget, and safety standards.
  • Integrated Project Management: Consolidate activities across multiple workstreams to create an integrated project view, managing milestones, dependencies, and critical path activities.
  • Drive Project Phases: Oversee planning and execution across all functional phases, including engineering, procurement, commissioning, and final handover.
  • Establish Governance: Maintain robust project governance through regular reviews, action tracking, decision logs, and effective escalation management.
  • Monitor Performance & Risk: Track key metrics to proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, delays, or cost impacts.
  • Stakeholder & Customer Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, ensuring transparent communication and timely resolution of technical and commercial matters.
  • Compliance Management: Ensure full compliance with internal processes, quality standards, and regulatory requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Change Management: Manage the evaluation and approval process for scope changes, including assessing impacts on project schedule and budget.
  • Reporting & Continuous Improvement: Provide accurate project forecasts and executive summaries while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement, including post-project lessons learned

Required Qualifications / Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, information technology, operations, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of project management experience relevant to the role, in a requisition, contractual, or other Order-To-Remittance (OTR) business.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, Lean, Six Sigma) preferred.
  • Project management experience in power generation or power services industries.
  • Demonstrated experience managing medium to complex projects with multiple workstreams, stakeholders, and interdependencies.
  • Experience working in cross-functional and international project environments.
  • Strong background in project management methodologies, tools, and governance frameworks.
  • Experience working with global or regional stakeholders, ideally in a matrixed environment.
  • Strong leadership and coordination skills in complex, multi-workstream project environments.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and drive execution with a structured, proactive approach.
  • Strong communication, coordination, and organizational skills.
  • Clear communicator with the ability to engage effectively with teams, customers, and leadership. Strong problem-solving, risk awareness, and decision-making skills.
  • Fluent in English is required; Spanish is a plus.

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $98,400.00 and $164,000.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
