6. General knowledge of basic bedside nursing.
7. Provides care, based on the physical, psychosocial, education, safety and related criteria appropriate to age of the patients served in assigned area/department.
8. Answers phone politely and responds with appropriate information or forwards call as required.
9. Transcribes physician orders.

11. Maintains continuing education if required for preferred certifications.
12. Knowledge of CPOE, transcribing physician orders, telephone etiquiette and interpreting monitor strips.

14. Assists shift manager in maintaining an efficient running unit by providing clerical assistance
15. Refers to policies and procedures when appropriate.

17. Inventories, orders and restocks unit to maintain adequate paper supplies
18. Communicates effectively to individuals of all ages
19. Transcribes licensed independent practitioner orders accurately and demonstrations how to use CPOE
20. Schedules and completes tasks with minimal supervision and in atimely manner.
21. Is adaptable and responsive to change (including floor assignments).
22. Knows and follows chain of command and maintains confidentiality of information.
