The Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced Money Processing Transformation Director to lead the transformation of Brink's Money Processing operations across Europe.
This is a highly visible leadership role responsible for driving operational transformation, improving productivity, and implementing standardised ways of working across multiple countries. Working closely with regional and country leadership teams, you will translate strategic transformation initiatives into operational execution that delivers measurable improvements in efficiency, service quality, and cost performance.
Unlike traditional transformation roles, success is not measured by project completion alone. It is measured by your ability to improve operational performance, simplify complex processes, increase labour productivity, and embed sustainable ways of working across our European Money Processing network.
You will lead the implementation of key strategic initiatives covering forecasting and labour planning, production planning, ATM prepack, retail processing standards, multi-bank processing, reconciliation, discrepancy management, and process simplification. Working directly with operational leaders, you will ensure these initiatives become part of daily operations and deliver lasting business value.
This position is ideally suited to a senior operational transformation leader from industries such as automotive, aerospace, industrial manufacturing, mechanical or electrical engineering, hydraulics, warehousing, fulfilment, or last-mile logistics. You understand Lean and Operational Excellence, but more importantly, you know how to use these disciplines to improve complex operations and deliver tangible business results.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the execution of Brink's European Money Processing transformation strategy, ensuring strategic initiatives are successfully implemented across multiple countries.
- Deliver measurable improvements in productivity, labour efficiency, operational performance, quality, service levels, and overall cost competitiveness.
- Partner with country operations leaders to implement new operating models, standardised processes, and performance management routines across Money Processing operations.
- Drive Lean and Operational Excellence initiatives using methodologies such as Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, Standard Work, Daily Management Systems, and structured problem solving.
- Identify opportunities to simplify operations, eliminate waste, improve workflow, and create consistent operational standards across the European network.
- Analyse operational and financial performance data to identify improvement opportunities, prioritise initiatives, monitor progress, and measure realised business benefits.
- Lead change management activities that support the successful adoption of new processes, technologies, and operational practices across multiple countries.
- Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, IT, Finance, and Global Operational Excellence teams to implement automation and scalable operational improvements.
- Monitor transformation milestones, project outcomes, risks, and business impact, providing clear reporting and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Coach and develop operational teams, strengthening continuous improvement capabilities and embedding a culture of operational excellence throughout the organisation.
What We Are Looking For
- Extensive experience leading operational transformation, Operational Excellence, Lean, or Continuous Improvement within complex, multi-site organisations.
- Proven success delivering measurable improvements in productivity, operational efficiency, labour utilisation, process standardisation, and sustainable cost reduction.
- Strong operational leadership background within automotive suppliers, aerospace, industrial manufacturing, mechanical or electrical engineering, hydraulics, warehousing, fulfilment, or last-mile logistics.
- Demonstrated ability to lead large-scale transformation initiatives that translate strategy into practical operational execution and measurable business results.
- Strong hands-on experience applying Lean methodologies to improve operational performance in complex, people-intensive environments.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the credibility to influence senior leaders and operational teams across multiple countries.
- Strong analytical capability, using operational and financial data to identify opportunities, support decision-making, and monitor transformation performance.
- Outstanding communication, leadership, and change management skills, with the ability to build engagement across diverse international teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business, or a related discipline. A Master's degree or MBA is considered an advantage.
- Lean certification is beneficial, although extensive hands-on implementation experience is considered significantly more valuable.
Additional Requirements
- Based in one of our European Brink's locations, including Belgium, Czechia, the Netherlands, Romania, or another relevant European location with access to an international airport.
- Willingness to travel extensively across Europe, typically exceeding 50% of your working time.
- Fluent English is required. Additional European languages are considered an advantage.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced international environment with multiple stakeholders, cultures, and transformation priorities.
