The Role

The Money Desk Specialist serves as a key partner to the firm's advisors and clients, supporting a variety of money movement requests and specialized operational functions. This role is responsible for processing transactions such as distributions, wire transfers, ACH requests, cost basis inquiries, account transfers, trade orders, and other related activities.

As a primary point of contact, the Money Desk Specialist delivers exceptional service by providing timely support, clear communication, and operational expertise to both advisors and clients.
Essential Job Functions, other duties assigned

  • Accurately and efficiently process daily operational requests, including but not limited to distributions, check requests, check deposits, wire transfers, ACH setups, cost basis inquiries, account transfers, transfer delays, and trade orders.

  • Support advisors by answering questions related to paperwork requirements, firm policies, procedures, and operational processes.

  • Serve as a liaison between advisors, clients, and account custodians. Clearly communicate custodian and firm requirements to facilitate timely processing and minimize Not-In-Good-Order (NIGO) submissions.

  • Proactively research, analyze, and resolve operational issues to ensure a seamless client and advisor experience.

  • Collaborate closely with internal departments to support customer service initiatives, resolve issues, and contribute to projects and process improvements.

  • Strong computer skills with a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Flexibility to take ownership of a variety of projects and drive them through implementation.

  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively across teams and departments.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues and implement timely solutions.

Experience and Education:

Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working directly with a broker-dealer, Registered Investment Advisor (RIA), or insurance organization.

  • Minimum of 4 years of client service, operations, or related experience within the financial services industry.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant work experience.

Licensing

  • FINRA Series 7 required within the first six months of employment.

  • Series 65 or Series 66 preferred, but not required.

Physical Requirements
  • Office-based position.

  • No travel required.
